Vocabulary Learner is a client-side application. Your vocabulary data and learning progress are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage — we do not collect or transmit your personal vocabulary lists to any server.
When you use AI-powered features (such as vocabulary extraction), the text you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) solely to generate results. We do not store this text on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
We use anonymous product analytics (PostHog) to understand how the app is used — for example, how many vocabulary items are extracted per session. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Your saved decks, streak data, language preferences, and flashcard progress are all stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data.
When using the Studio image generation feature or the programmatic API, the vocabulary data you provide is processed server-side to generate the grid image. This data is not stored or logged after the response is returned.
