Spaced repetition flashcards, with the schedule spelled out
Spaced repetition flashcards show each card just before you would forget it, so reviews get further apart as you remember. In Fulin Flashcard you rate each card Not yet, Hard, Got it or Easy, and an SM-2-style scheduler sets the next review, starting at 1 day and growing by each card's own ease factor.

Open the appThe schedule, in numbers
- Every new card starts with an ease of 2.5. Ease stays between 1.3 and 2.5.
- Not yet returns the card in 4 hours. On a card that had already graduated, it also lowers ease by 0.2.
- Hard returns a new card in 12 hours. On a graduated card it multiplies the interval by 1.2 and lowers ease by 0.15.
- Got it schedules a new card for 1 day. After that each Got it multiplies the interval by the card's ease: 1, 2.5, 6.25, 15.6 days and so on.
- Easy sends a new card 30 days out and retires it from review; on a graduated card it multiplies the interval by ease and 1.3.
- Intervals are capped at 730 days.
What this is and is not
This is an SM-2-style scheduler, the same family as Anki's classic one. It is not FSRS, and it does not estimate the probability that you remember a card. It applies a rule to your ratings.
Try any sequence of ratings on the interval calculator to see every next review date for one card.
Keeping reviews manageable
Spaced repetition only works if you keep showing up. The app keeps a small daily target, resumes an unfinished session first, then due reviews, then new words, so a missed week does not become a wall of cards.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a spaced repetition flashcard?
- A flashcard that is scheduled for review at increasing intervals based on how well you recalled it, so you spend time on words you are about to forget.
- What happens when I press Not yet?
- The card returns after 4 hours. If it had already graduated from the learning step, its ease also drops by 0.2, down to a floor of 1.3.
- How far apart can reviews get?
- Up to 730 days. With the default ease and a Got it each time, the gaps run 1, 2.5, 6.25 and 15.6 days before growing further.
- Is the spaced repetition free?
- Yes. The browser app is free and needs no account.
